First day at Microsoft; as told by Raymond Chen

Friday November 30, 2007

This summer while interning at Microsoft, we got to meet several very interesting people. I shook hands with Bill Gates, held the door open for Steven Ballmer, and I met up with Raymond Chen twice. The second time he signed two copies of his book for me. The first time was a meetup with some of the interns in the Windows Experience organization (the division of Microsoft that deals with, you guessed it, Windows).

At this meeting he shared a lot of stories about Microsoft, as he’s been there for a while now. A few of those were the “first day at Microsoft”-stories he’s now posting on his blog.

He has a few more in store. I won’t post them here, because my memory of them is a little spotty, and anyhow, Raymond is a much better storyteller than I am.
